Greening Sacred Spaces (GSS) is a program developed by Faith and the Common Good to assist faith communities in taking concrete actions to create a more sustainable place of worship. The Halton-Peel Chapter is a program of the Halton Environmental Network and serves the communities in these regions. We are happy to provide programming for your faith-based community or school within Halton and Peel, and can connect you with local leaders and experts to build capacity and become more aware of ways to reduce your environmental impact.
We support diverse faith and spiritual communities in taking concrete actions to create a more sustainable and eco-friendly place of worship.
The Green Rule demonstrates that all faiths and spiritualities place value on being a steward for the environment for current and future generations. We want to help connect faith and environment in meaningful ways through positive environmental action.
